Early start

I had one of my occasional 8am starts. Not keen, of course, but needs must. I wouldn't be the sort of person who always wanted to be at work at 8am, even when working from home.

Anyway, nice views as I walked through chilly Edinburgh. I met a colleague also heading in for an early start (in advance of delivering a 9am lecture which was going to be the first time he'd ever had a class of 250+ to lecture to....), so we had a nice chat. Coffees, meetings, and a tiny bit of desk time saw me through to the time when I was due to find my bus back. I ended up on a 49, which meant I popped into the Cornelius.... Definitely not doing dry January....
