Mixing it up
Running a little behind on my posting, this is yesterday's shot of the concrete truck. I got some pretty funny looks from the work men as I stood out there taking pictures :0)
The kids were pretty excited to see it though, and spent the morning watching the guys pour and smooth out the new floor.
After the first part of the smoothing was done, two of the guys left and the other two sat outside in my lawn chairs under the tree chatting and going back to re-smooth as it was drying. I felt sorry for them sitting out there, it was a pretty warm day, I think it reached 100? sure felt like it.
After lunch we had plans to meet some friends at a public pool and cool off for a few hours. Thinking they might be done before we got back I went outside to give them the garage door closer. I told the man I was leaving and I'd leave the remote with him so he could close the door if he got done before I got back...he smiled a big smile and said "it's OK, no thank you very much" ...hmmm, Im thinking we have a language barrier here LOL - so I smiled back and said, "OK, bye" and left the door opener inside :0)
When we got back the men were gone and the new floor was smooth and ready to go....now to get the walls built.
I liked the logo on the side of the truck that reads, "mix with the right company" - pretty clever :0)
