Hill country and beyond..

I spent a very pleasant couple of hours drinking coffee and catching up with  blippers from Wanaka this morning.  I also met Spikes2013 who gave me a great tip on some Grebes and where they were nesting - thanks.
Afterwards M and l drove up the Matukituki valley. The road was mostly unsealed as we were really in the outback but l loved it. Scenery on a grand scale.  A couple of extras
1.  Following the car in front - always make sure the windows are closed! 
2. Animals met on the way.
