Bright Spot on a Slow Day

The Green Thumb Girl came by with another lovely arrangement from her garden yesterday while OilMan slumbered. Today it looks even better, and is there for me to enjoy while he is out running errands, watering the garden, and doing all the things he usually does.

We went for an early walk in the park this morning, and then I went out out and pruned the Oleanders. I have known (for unknown reasons) since I was a child that Oleanders are poisonous, andI read that they are in the same family as euphorbia, but I don't think so because they don't drip sticky white sap when cut. It was hot out there at midday, so I didn't last long.

Determined to finish a skirt I have been making for 8 months, I sat and watched old episodes of Inspector Lewis and got all the panels finished--there are four. Now all I have to do is sew the panels together and I will have a skirt to show you. I may not be able to model it myself, since it probably doesn't fit anymore....
