Something fishy on One Street

The weather's been that wet in Wales I wasn't surprised to find a mermaid lounging on the pavement outside the hairdesser's in West Street today.

She was quite decorously dressed (for a mermaid) and had curlers in. She explained that she'd agreed to spend a few days ashore promoting Pembrokeshire Fish Week in return for some attention to her hair:"Can't do a thing with it love - it's the salt" she confided. But she'd been getting a little dehydrated under the drier and had come outside to cool down. She doesn't have far to go to get back to the water, the harbour is just a slither away.

(Her cousin lives a bit further up the coast.)
