Tall Ships in Toronto

Linda and I took in the Tall Ships at the Redpath Waterfront Festival today down at Toronto's waterfront. Lots of great ships and a wide set of exhibits and re-enactments of live during the War of 1812. There was a light rain now and then which dampened things but the sun came out for a bit later on to dry things up - after most of our photography, of course. They had a pirate ship that Linda chose as her blip. It's a smaller ship and had a crew of pirates aboard which was nifty. Lots of walking and wandering.

We found the Nova Scotia Tourism spot and they had a lighthouse replica and a food wagon serving lobster rolls - overpriced, but delicious! They were responsible for our visiting Nova Scotia and PEI the following year last time we saw the Tall Ships in 2008. More wandering around and we ended up at the St. Lawrence Market then the Olde Spaghetti Factory for a late lunch/early supper.

All in all a good and fun day. Lots more photos on my Facebook on Sunday. I will link it. Lots of cool shots plus a Lancaster Bomber that flew nearby!
