Cloud Mass
With several consecutive cold fronts approaching and reaching the Cape of Good Hope, we received notice of the imminent cold weather via storm wind and masses of clouds.
Occasional scattered showers caused early morning shoppers and pedestrians to duck and dive for cover.
Temperatures have dropped sharply and by tomorrow the news headlines will no doubt be about the snow that has fallen on the high mountain ranges, roads and passes that have been closed and low lying ares that have been flooded ... amongst others.
Being far removed from the real Alps, the best South Africa can offer is the ski resort of Tiffendell in the Drakensberg Mountains.
This cloud mass passed over the sea and the white head that was exposed caught in the late afternoon sun. With little light available, it is grainy, but so be it.
Off to a warm bed!
