Bird Wars

It’s been snowing since about 9am this morning. As soon as the cats were fed and the coffee dripping I hustled outside to fill seed and suet feeders. Both bird traffic and snow have been steady throughout the day. I told MrsP the flock of goldfinches this year is beyond counting. My guess is we had more than 100 here today. No kidding! Goldfinches covered the ground, the feeders, the trees, literally anywhere and everywhere my eyes could see. They weren’t playing nice either! I’m heading out again soon armed with more seeds because nearly every feeder is empty. They may be tiny but they’re fierce with appetites to match! • Peace & Love
