He’s back
I was putting the last two mums still in the pots in the flowerbed where I am going to plant them when I heard a noise. A squeaky mumbly noise.
I squatted down to find this little guy peaking out from under a piece of driftwood. Last week he was under a mushroom out of the rain as he probably is today. I decided to ask him his name which caused a frantic retreat to hide. I told him my name and that he was welcome in my yard. He peaked out and said Dermot!!! I had to really listen as his voice is so soft.
He is tiny so that makes sense.
He said he did not like rain but he was trying to explore his new area and hated getting wet. I let him know the sun was going to be shining tomorrow and he was welcome to explore the whole yard. He said he might invite a friend over soon since the yard had good hiding places for taking naps.
Can’t wait to meet his friends.
