The Water Babies

It was the AGM of the Friends of Torre Abbey today. It was held as usual at the Livermead House Hotel, which in 1854 was the home of Charles Kingsley, author of the Water Babies. It was more or less the last meeting of the organisation after 30 years or more. ‘And every dog it’s day’ is an apt line from the poem. It was a sad day.
