The snow started at 6 am, exactly the time given by both weather apps. The apps also said it would turn to rain between 1 and 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

It wasn’t hard to decide that walking in snow would be preferable to rain. With waterproofs on I headed down the hill, past the shops and church and through the park. For photos I had my phone which was low on battery and a camera that would fit in my pocket.

There has been a bit of a thaw this afternoon but it’s still looking white outside. It’s forecast to freeze overnight.
