Love

Maybe, if you fall in love too easily,
there’s no reason why you won’t
fall out of love just as easily,
and, however much you want

it to work out, and it might,
it often does, there’s no guarantee
that ‘love’ will last forever. You fight
more than you used to? Don’t see

eye to eye on important stuff? Can’t
give and take like in the early days?
And you add up, actually count,
the ways he/she upsets you? Jeez!

Possibly it is time for a parting of
the ways? It’s like a death though, the end of love.
