Vipers Bugloss …..

….. ….. ….. or Blueweed. It’s commonly thought of as a weed around here and I know that farmers don’t like it. I’m not sure if anyone grows it in their garden. The flowers are pretty though.

Missy & I went for another walk this morning, in the cool. She seems to be fine, but when it heated up this afternoon I wasn’t going to let her do anything active outdoors. I’ll be playing it very safe from now on.
I’ve got a small tub ready to slosh water over her if necessary.
I’m still a bit bemused about how it happened in the first place to tell the truth. I thought I had been being careful.
Maybe it was an accumulation of events rather than one incident - it had been hot for several days on end.
