Windsor Castle

We walked up to Windsor Crag, the direct route from Sumner. There is no track, just a scramble up through long grass and a break in the rock band that runs along the west side of the Sumner valley up to Evans Pass. The trig is on a point called Windsor Castle, above a crag used for training novice rock climbers. The extra is the view down to Sumner from the trig. 
Cloudy with drizzle this morning, then the sun came out about lunch time. So much for the predicted drought. It rained yesterday, and we're expecting more on Thursday. In previous El Nino years I remember, after Christmas southerly fronts brought no more rain.Not that I'm complaining. The garden can certainly use the rain and it saves me moving the sprinklers around.
