Art Exhibition

Nipped into the village hall this morning to sneak a peak at the Midsummer Art Exhibition. Some very talented folk in these islands. I couldn't afford to buy a picture, but I did buy some lovely cards and dropped off some home bakes for the community cafe, which is open during the exhibition.

Had a rehearsal this afternoon with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Orkney Schools Orchestra and then a joint concert with them this evening. Absolutely wonderful! A sell out and deservedly so. The young trumpeter brought the house down!
