The Watermill, Blair Atholl

I've finally caught up with my blips and this is today's actually entered today!

We left the cottage in Inverness this morning in bright sunshine and hoped for a pleasant drive home down the A9, one of the most scenic routes in Scotland. Alas, it was not to be, as the rain started just outside the city and didn't stop until we were almost home - the first really heavy rain we've had all week, so we shouldn't grumble!

Plans for scenic detours were abandoned and our only stop was back at the Watermill in Blair Atholl, where we'd enjoyed lunch on the journey north. This time is was just coffee and another slice of their delectable carrot cake and the purchase of some of their home-baked bread.

We were home again in good time and the sun came out for a bit to greet us, before the rain set in later. Simba showed up eventually to say hello and curl upon the settee, as if we'd never been away:-)

It's been a most enjoyable holiday, with so much to see and do and now there's just the washing to sort out and the photos to organise and the blips to download and the journals to catch up with and the emails to answer!! I'll need another holiday when I'm done:-) It will probably be Sunday at the earliest before I catch up with you all and I'm really looking forward to that. I've missed you!!
