Bandstand by Night

I spent this afternoon with some friends trying to create a humorous pastiche of the Madness album cover, "One Step Beyond". It was blowing a gale and the shoot veered towards the chaotic, props hurtling across the beach and lenses becoming fogged in minutes by salt spray.

The results of that shoot are for another day, but the realisation that the moon was waxing gibbous encouraged me to venture out again this evening with visions of a perfect moon suspended over the west pier. Alas! The seas were colossal and of the moon, no sign... I'm conscious I've shot this bandstand before, but never at night and never in conditions where you actually have to lean into the wind to stay on your feet!
