Failure!

Regular readers will know that I’ve struggled with meals and cooking since B died. Today I decided I’d got to get a grip. I’d bought some leeks and potatoes and was going to make my favourite soup. I couldn’t get my normal stock, so just bought another. First mistake was when I got the soup maker out and thought I’d better clean it first, it’s been about two years since I’d used it. Let me tell you that blade is sharp! Once I’d mopped up the blood and put a plaster on I cracked  on. Had to get the instructions out because I couldn’t remember how to use it, but soon got back in the swing. All went well until I tasted it. Oh boy, I’ve no idea what was in that vegetable stock but it was so salty it was inedible. So, I ended up with a jacket potato for dinner and loads of washing up.
How long before I try again I wonder?
