Marram

These small dunes are only about 5 years old. They are the result of recycling old Christmas trees. The sand gets trapped in the tress and hence the new growth. It's been very successful. Good in some ways that they haven't planted the full length of the prom because otherwise we wouldn't get views of Arran such as this. Bitterly cold today but the colours are fab.
