Toots in Solitude

Tick, tick, tick

Ticking the list of deeds to be done today. First the unloading of the 6 bags from yesterday then a visit to the Doctors Surgery to hand in Donalds registration form. Popping a birthday card to my sister in the post, a card to my nephew and heading to the Bank at Morningside Station to deposit a cheque. Of course, when we returned home it was to find the Postie had brought another whole pile of correspondence to deal with.
Making some lunch for us and then a visit to Fountainbridge Library. This visit was such a delight to Donald I couldn't get him out of the place for hours. As always the staff are so helpful and Donald now once again holds an Edinburgh Library card and an Edinburgh Bus Pass. The library also has the facility to come and collect Donald in a mini-bus, take him to the library and return him home after an hour or so if he so chooses or bring books to his flat. He came away armed with a pile of books of course and I found a really interesting little Patti Smith book 'A Book of Days', her Instagram daily postings.
There was also a little display stand about the Dalry Necropolis and this poem caught my eye.
