Life is a wonderful adventure

Today I saw life through a four year olds eyes. A wonderful adventure where in a moment something ordinary is amazing and something seemingly banal can set off tears.

Master Pink had a fun day with his beavers pack at the local scout camp. Mr Pink went with him and from what I understand, they had a great time. Master Pink tried some archery, rock climbing and an assault course. The day finished with singing around the campfire. Master Pink returned very tired and with a camp "woggle" and a new badge for his uniform.

Miss Pink and I had a girls day! We went to the school fair and miss Pink enjoyed the car ride and the bouncy castle. It was so windy today that the school fair marquees were under threat of blowing away. We managed a win on the teddy tombola before the wind stopped play. Once everything had been moved inside, we had some goes on the hoopla and "where Will and Kate's baby will be born"! Miss Pink won a dancing Wenlock on the hoopla, I won wine and beer on the bottle tombola. Miss Pink had her face painted "with pretty flowers by Libby's mum". After that she was a bit fidgety and on a short fuse, do we headed to the school hall for a flapjack and a drink. After a final go on the cars, we headed home for lunch and a bit of quiet time.
This afternoon Miss Pink and I went to Colchester to visit the Crafty Mums where my hair bits are being sold. Miss Pink gave it her seal of approval, and told the shop owner Kate all about her dancing Wenlock! We headed to M&S for a cuppa and a snack for Miss P, and watching her with her wide open eyes, pausing to dance to the shop Muzak, asking lots of questions about everything, I guess it just hit me that sometimes we all need to see things the way a little child does. It might make the everyday a little more exciting! Oh and it obviously helps if you have a dancing Wenlock by your side.
