Junior parkrunner

After coming along with me to Telford parkrun last week Owen got really enthusiastic about having a go himself. So, with the river having receded after last week we were off to The Quarry for junior parkrun this morning. 

He did absolutely brilliantly, joining in with the warm up*, and getting all the way around the 2K course, including the hill. He was a bit confused at the end by us having to leave him to enter the finish funnel on his own to get his token but that was easily sorted. He even took a leaf out of my book by sprinting at the end to overtake a couple of others.

A cookie to celebrate and we spent the rest of the day watching and playing indiana Jones again. This time, The Last Crusade.
