Not in the right mood

We have a special interest group for analogue photography in my photo club.  I have done some shooting with my old and mechanical Rolleiflex and Leica.  Last week I was able to locate batteries for some of my more modern analogue cameras.  This is a closeup of the top of my last purchase of a camera for 35 mm film.  A Ricoh GR1V. With the mode button you can set the camera in different shooting modes.  The green display will then show what you have selected.  But regardless of what mode I try to select the display doesn't show anything.

An all mechanical camera is probably more reliable after all.

Maybe a bit farfetched but I'll flag it for The Derelictweek challenge.
