My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

It is Caro's birthday! She had a nice day. I missed a lot of it in meetings, but she told me that she watched a quiet afternoon detective show and had a nap. 

"I fell asleep with one cat and woke up with another," she told me. 

Loulou and Tiger popped in to drop off a present. They mocked Caro for her obsession with sausages. 

"Does she still like a sausage?" asked Tiger.

I told them that she still enjoys my sausage every evening. Sometimes in the morning as well. 

There was some sniggering. 

She's a year older. No-one said we were more mature.
