Glimmer

Today has been all about "A Glimmer.."

A glimmer of the sun through the clouds
A glimmer of sunshine through thick and leafy trees
A glimmer of hope from friendships formed, virtual or not
A glimmer of belief that others will see you through
A glimmer of faith on prayers answered, no matter how small and insignificant they may seem...

Mr M was preparing for work this morning, went out and got car engine running, and though to check on his wheels.. And then car locked and it won't let him in! Disaster! He ended up walking to work with me at my wits end thinking what to do.. Looked it up on the net, and people were talking about smashing windows in as spare fob key doesn't work with engine running. Others suggested waiting for petrol to run out and engine would eventually die off as well, and then fob key might work.
Well... some neighbours walking past knocked on door asking if I knew engine was running.. Some were giving it looks..

Eventually, after about more than 8 hours, I asked next door P if by any chance he had the talent in opening locked cars, neighbour D came round as well and they were both giving it a go with a wedge and metal coat hanger - which we realized wasn't that easy to find anymore! After nearly an hour of tinkering, fishing, bantering and a lot of prayers on my part, P's other neighbour came round to say there was actually a keyhole underneath passenger door handle! Haha! Oh well, disaster averted! Yay! So car petrol didn't run out and engine didn't overheat! Prayers, no matter how insignificant they may seem, do get answered!

So lose no hope.. There's always a glimmer somewhere..
