A Local Pool

My cousin H's husband (S) underwent surgery on a ruptured kneecap on Friday and is now immobile for a minimum of 8 weeks as the repair recovers.  As L was riding we arranged for a walk on the Chase, in what looked like good weather.  This is the pool created on their gated development with houses on three sides.

The walk was very pleasurable, but what started as good weather did deteriorate quite quickly until it was drizzling as we reached the German War Cemetery. Despite that we had a good time, covering just over 6 miles.

L and I returned to their house later in the day for Sunday dinner.  Sadly for them they would normally by now be in Spain for three months, missing out on the worst of the winter weather, but S's injury has put paid to that.  We're hopeful that recovery will be swift because their son is getting married towards the end of March.
