In the Morning, After the Rain
The other day I had to practically crawl into the deep corner of one of the kitchen cabinets to get that pasta drying rack. I’m not quite nimble enough to do that on a regular basis, but I did retrieve the rack. In the process, I found quite a few things to Freecycle, tools that hadn’t seen the light of day in years—old bread pans, a bamboo steamer basket, forgotten cookie cutters. I don’t have the nerve to do a real purge, because some day I will need those extra plates, that odd-size pan, the sandwich maker. And that’s just the kitchen. In the meantime, go out and smell the roses, or count the raindrops on the petals.
