Finally Some Blue Sky

After another day of an almost constant light rain, I wasn't expecting to see any sun when I ran out to the shore. And, after snapping a few pictures in very bad light, I was ready to go home.

But, wait...what is that to the west? Is it really a patch of blue sky? Yes it was, and it stuck around for awhile.

I love it when the egrets and herons reach up that long leg and try to scratch the head and neck. Plus, it was nice for the little gust of wind that raised those feathers.

Another of the big birds (a blue heron) is my first extra of the year. I was directly underneath him/her.
