Hazyland helps G'Sparky.......some more!

Emmy ( The Hazyland Boys ) has already been brilliant in helping me find more volunteers to take saliva swabs from their border collies to help with the research into Obsessive compulsive disorder in dogs. Both her dogs Hero and Beat have given swabs, it is a very simple thing to do. From her blip some other blippers who used to follow G'Sparky have offered to send swabs from their dogs. Thankyou again to those who have. Please see her blip 29th May 2013. It is such an easy thing to do and may make a huge difference to the research.

Today I got pictures of the article she has written about the condition in the Danish magazine 'Border Collie News'. G'Sparky is the model, its a photo I love, we were having a great walk on the dunes. The more people who offer swabs from their collies the better for the research. If Blip central gave out Oscars or dare I say Emmy awards I would like to nominate Emmy aka The Hazyland Boys. We 'met' through Blip. She has put so much time and effort into raising the profile of OCD in dogs and the need for swabs to help in the research. This article in the Danish magazine is another thing she did just to help. Thankyou Emmy :-)

The research has already found that dogs have the same structural brain abnormalities as humans who suffer from ocd . This research programme can have benefits for humans with ocd as it will provide insight and understanding into anxiety disorders that affect people.
