Fiddlers

Last night I drove to Stoke on Trent to play for the ceilidh following the Penkhull Wassailing (the traditional ceremony of blessing the apple trees for a good crop. It involves dancing, fire, toast put on trees and cider).  It takes place at there every annually and we're fortunate to have played for their ceilidh for a number of years.

It was a great night as always.  My photos of the dancing aren't good as the muted lighting and movement found my photography skills lacking!

Here's a photo of N and S, Band#2's two fiddlers.  We also have a melodeon and me on piano.

It's a long drive home and it was after 1.00am when I got in.  It was worth it for such a good night.
