As we are OFF ON OUR HOLS on Wednesday, Katie came up today to join us in a wee party for Jake's 14th how the heck did that happenbirthday. We had planned to have Jakes's favourite food - steak and chips - indoors, however, the sun was showing it's face intermittently so we braved the elements and Mr Lif BBQd the steaks. Profiteroles and strawberries and cream followed. Full bellies! Jake got a new smartphone affair and seems delighted.

There appears to be some football match or other on the TV...I must away, pour myself a cava and see if I can persuade the boys that a romcom might be a better option. Wish me luck!!
