Old Adage

The rain came down while the sun was shining brightly.  We've had a stretch of wet, cool weather and its not what we were hoping for.  The TV weather says we're under the influence of an "El Neiño" pattern which will continue to send front after front over us.  It seems like every front, regardless of weather cold or warm, brings some more rain.
    Anyway,  when I was a kid the old folks used to say that when it rained and the sun shone it means that the devil is beating his wife.
