Gardening for Nature

I spent most of the daylight hours today on my allotment. It is currently what we around here call a 'midden'.  It is in a shocking state. Today soil was still sodden and with a crisp frozen if thin crust, so I stayed off it. Instead I scrapped off the top layer of old wood chips on the paths and replaced them with fresh from the recently arrived new pile. The old stuff went to my compost heap.

Once home I had a look at Tracey's Wildlife Garden on YouTube.  Always a pleasure and inspirational..
