THE AFTERMATH
No....we're not talking about what you do after your math homework is finished. We're talking about dealing with yesterday's storm.

My weatherman hit it out of the park with the storm forecast yesterday. The only thing he didn't specify was how big the snow drifts might be....he left that up to our imagination. We have some that are chest deep blocking local roads. But we have some serious snowplows in this part of the country and it didn't take them long to bust those drifts apart. Of course, an hour after they did the job, the 40mph winds reformed the drifts and they needed to be busted again. It's one of those constants of life in snow country.

This is my neighbor busting some drifts on the main drag in town with his John Deere machine. There's people....old people like me....living on Main Street so he takes it upon himself to clear their sidewalks and fire hydrants. Do you see that large stake with the flag on top attached to the fire plug (hydrant)? That's so the fire department can find the water source in case of a fire. We do get some snow around here:

EXTRAS: Check out my garage and house and see the roof snow sculptures. I may have to get the roof rake out and pull a bunch of it off there. I'd be out there now doing just that if my aching back wasn't aching from all the shoveling and snow blowing the last two days. And it's getting colder every minute. The HIGH temp tomorrow is supposed to be around -1°F. (-18.3C.). Brrrrrrr. Not supposed to be above 0°F. (-18°C.) for the next week. And the wind is still blowing so Wind Chills tomorrow are expected to be between -20° to -30°F. (-29° to -34°C.).....good day to stay inside and Blip.
