Cuppa

Is it bed time yet?

My mini Parkrun adventure started well, as I caught the bus to my destination, which turned out to be a very different experience to what I'm used to.  I'm used to around 170 people, a muddy path and two laps max. Today there were 750+ runners, a tarmac, course and half a lap extra. Having said that, it was a fun event, and I did an ok time. The main reason for adventuring was so I could get some miles in by finding somewhere I could run home from,  instead of the usual routes I need to do after work, so I wasn't too fussed about time, which was good as it turned out I was a bit slower than I thought.

I got a bit 'lost' (I knew where I was, it just wasn't where I wanted to be) on the way back, so ended up doing an extra mile or so as well.

After that, and some breakfast, we went to meet the Not Children for a mooch round a local pop up market and a (planned) quick drink and some lunch.. Five hours later (!) I made everyone go to our favourite curry house for a massive fud fest. It was a fun afternoon, nice and relaxed and probably everything people needed. I'm definitely ready for a cuppa and my bed now.
