Skating on thin ice

Our first walk round Gadden and Birnie lochs of 2024. The ice on Birnie was very thin but the gulls had no trouble walking on it - the swans were more like icebreakers. 

On our way home we stopped off at Dairsie cemetery to pick up the Christmas wreath and as usual I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the old bridge . 2 ladies on horseback passed us and crossed the bridge- no doubt the only means of transport for the first 400 years of the bridge’s existence.
