At the harbour

It has been a pleasant day and we were feeling better, so took ourselves off to the coast.  We decided to treat ourselves to a proper meal, and we ventured into a restaurant which had been recommended to us but we had never used before.  Turned out a good choice, delicious food, the only small criticism (if it could be taken as that) was that the portions were too big.  We couldn't manage pudding......

Bob had some Spiced Onion soup, which had what was like a pancake on top, and he declared it terrific.  I had mushrooms done in a creamy sauce, a different way than I would normally have it, and it too was delicious.

I then had seared salmon with a hot potato salad, really lovely, and Bob had chicken and haggis, which he declared a winner.  All served with an extra portion of french fries, and a platter of mixed vegetables.  We also had home made bread and butter as we waited for our meals.  All good, and very reasonable too, we will be back!

We managed a walk at the harbour afterwards, after a bit of a rest, and I took some photos there.

We won't need any tea tonight!
