Bright yellow …..

….. ….. ….. Gerbera, brightening up my garden.

Brightening up was called for this morning. Missy hasn’t been drinking or eating, and was so lethargic that I phoned the Emergency Vet and had an appointment 1.5 hours later. It was the same Vet that saw Missy a year ago after she’d collapsed after some extensive ball throwing by a young fella that thought she’d be fine.

So today’s result/diagnosis was the same; heat exhaustion. I’m going to be even more aware of this tendency of hers now. It could easily have gone to heat stroke. Scary stuff. She’s eating a little now, the food that the Vet suggested for recovery, and is drinking a little too. She’s not to have any activity for the rest of the weekend and we’re to go back on Monday if she’s not a lot better.
I guess it’s going to take a few days for her to come right.

It’s not been as hot today, thankfully.
