“Frosty Beauty”
That is the English translation of “Frostige Schönheitname”, the name given to this Bavarian plate design, one of a set of flowers through the seasons, that I inherited from Mum and Dad. My Dad was a keen gardener, and though Mum didn’t do a great deal of work in the garden, usually occupied by her music, she valued the rewards of his efforts, so this collection is a wonderful reminder of them. I’m tagging it for Flower Friday. I have to admit it’s a bit of an emergency blip, as once again the weather was dismal, raining most of the day, with the wind picking up late afternoon, so I didn’t go out. Snow had been in the forecast for overnight, but the chance of that now seems slim, but Arctic temperatures are moving in tomorrow, with the high on Sunday and Tuesday reaching only 15F ( -9.4C), with the low falling to 8 or 9F ( -12C) - Brrr! I’m thankful we’re leaving for Florida on Wednesday, though the temperatures there will also be lower than usual!
So it was a day for indoor activities, Duolingo, knitting, laundry and taking down the Living room tree and decorations. Everything now looks so bare!
Hope you all have a good weekend fellow blippers!
