Warmth in a bottle

Having spent nine days in warm accommodation I am now back home in my chilly flat. The heat had been on when I got back as it was below 10 degrees in the flat. All is well as long as I go to bed with warm feet hence the hot water bottle under my feet!

Did yoga this morning with Sian who does it on zoom! Went to see Richard this afternoon who has been moved to an upstairs ward with a greater variety of people not just dementia! I went to his original room first to be met by a builder and decorator who had ripped his room apart. The home is in the middle of a renovation! His new room is freshly painted with new fixtures and fittings. I had taken some of my home made biscuits and my birthday cake for him and he was very keen to eat as he was hungry. He then claimed that he was unable to eat anything! It was good to see him but he still has huge anxiety! Not too much medication so he still aware but quite deaf!

I got the bus back to town to go to specsavers to get a new pad in my glasses. Without the new pad there is a smaller pad which digs into thd nose. Very speedy service before I went to choir practice at church! It was great to see everyone and they sang happy birthday to me ! They also gave me a voucher for Hotel Chocolat! Pall in all a good day!
