Puddle ducks

We had a few chores in town today so when hubby got home we had lunch and went. There is a pond along our route that usually provides a blip so I asked him to drop me there. The pond was well out of its banks due to the heavy rains we have had lately. I had a hard time finding a dry spot out of the tall reeds to take a few shots. There was more then 20 mallards in the pond at the far bank. They probably did not see me as they did not act nervous until a hawk flew over screaming. That got their attention and they quacked and scurried in the marsh grass. I was happy with the few shots I got and walked out to find hubby waiting for me.
