A spot of rust...

...for the derelict challenge...

A walk along to the recently revamped Tynemouth Castle Inn 
( formerly the Park Hotel ) for brunch this morning. It's a bit like an upmarket Weatherspoons - we enjoyed good coffee and a tasty Eggs Benedict. I bet they'll do a roaring trade in the better weather, when people can sit outdoors too!

Onward then through Cullercoats to Whitley Bay, and a second coffee at Valerie's. The extra is a view of the Spanish City dome - maybe we'll sample the champagne bar on our next visit ;)

Back to North Shields on the Metro - bought toothbrushes and a pork pie, and then walked back. An enjoyable outing!
