An abstract impressionist view from my window

This caught my eye earlier on. I’ve been scouting around for potential publishing outlets for my new story. The local literary magazine is not accepting submissions until ‘the spring’ whenever that is. I thought about the Scots Magazine, but they don’t seem to publish fiction. I spent quite a while on the People’s Friend website. They encourage submissions but are really looking for regular contributers. Nothing ‘violent or lurid,’ they say. Is my story sufficiently couthy and homespun? I doubt it. This left me with New Writimg Scotland, an annual publication where I have submitted before withour success. They might be the best bet.
