Calla lilies

The Resident Gardener got this pot of unusually coloured canna lilies to put in a jardinière on a plant stand in the house to pretty it up for Christmas entertaining. Festivities over, we decided it would be better outside. So far it's made it to the verandah and I look at it daily, admiring its habit of gay abandon. 

Yesterday I got in close to photograph one of its blooms, followed by some cropping, and blipped it for Ingeborg's abstract Thursday challenge. Several commentators identified my photo as being a plant, so well done.
