Moot Hall
NY Backblip 3
Sod's Law kicked in this morning when the boiler misbehaved - no hot water to be had. Luckily I'd warned our overnight guests that this may happen! After breakfast we packed our stuff into the van, and dropped off Lucy and Reuben, and then Tom, at their homes in Leeds.
MrM then drove us down to Aldeburgh in Suffolk for 3 nights by the sea, a birthday treat for me! The drive there was quite hairy in the wake of storm whatever-its-name, trying to avoid flooded roads and flying branches, and we arrived just before 6.00pm. After settling in to our room at the hotel, we went to The Lighthouse (as recommended by the person on the hotel reception desk), where we enjoyed an excellent meal.
The Moot Hall, a lovely old building built around 1520 and now used as a museum, is very near to the hotel.
