Storm Clouds over Pipe Hill

Well, after my concern about the lack of poppies they suddenly seem to be coming into bloom. I regularly visit a book shop in Lichfield and the lady who works there asked me theis morning if I had seen the field of rape now almost red with poppies.

I know others have been wondering so if you are interested it is on the A461 coming out of Lichfield just as the road splits at an island to Burntwood. If you want to get up close there is a footpath that actually runs through the field from the indian restaurant (I think it was the old Three Tuns Pub).

While I was really impressed with the coverage I also took a walk along a local bridle way towards Pipe Hall Farm and came across another field which, although it didn't have the same profusion of poppies, did have some great clouds rolling in with what looked like really wet weather.

I used a Lee Big Stopper (10 stop neutral density filter) to get the slow shutter speed.
