Between fen and mountains

Snow at one thousand metres

We just escaped the snow as did the neighbouring village just visible in the photo. It fell on us as much needed rain. However, we need weeks of wet weather to replenish the water table and fill the reservoir. I hope that if we get rain, it comes at night. Needless to say, tennis was abandoned so instead I made soup and bread. Unfortunately, a plastic bung was left at the bottom of the liquidiser which I did not notice. I heard a lot of crunching, switched off the machine to see what had happened. I spent a good half an hour after that passing the soup through a fine sieve to recover what soup I could. I didn't fancy eating shards of plastic! In the afternoon, I fixed an aerial cable and went for a walk up to the belvedere.
