Summer Days, Driftin' Away

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

I risked going into the office again today. It was totally worth it due to the appearance of Luke, Olivia and Briar. 

Luke offered me strawberries. His partner Alicia packs him lunch every day ("like a mum") and she insists on including healthy fruit. 

"Ewwwww," said Luke. 

Who doesn't like strawberries? So I accepted and Luke insisted on feeding them to me. "Ow! You bit my finger!" he said. 

This is Luke.

At lunchtime we all went for ice-cream and I foolishly had not brought sunscreen or a hat with me. I warned the others that I may spontaneously combust. We tried to stay in the shade, but we all felt ourselves being microwaved just standing outside. 

Still, I got blueberry and chocolate ice-cream. Totally worth it. 

By the time I got home I was feeling worn out though. That's the effect of mild sunburn for ya. Here I am one big sleep later and feeling much better. 

And DEFINITELY trying to stay in the shade today.
