My Active Students

I had to leave a great and inspirational conference on active learning and teaching today for a lesson with my students focused on evidence based and self-regulated learning. Today we discussed pros and cons of dubbing and subtitles and students tried a challenging task to translate several puns from The Last of Us series reflecting also cultural background of the viewers. After watching their products we agreed that both teams did a better job than the official platform providers. The idea and tasks were all orchestrated by the students themselves.
