From 2006!
This morning I had my hair cut etc. plus a friend came round to have hers done too by our visiting hairdresser.
I have done some more tidying, going through part of a filing cabinet and sorting part of a cupboard where I found lots of soaps, toothbrushes etc from hotels. I keep them but rarely need them so some went in the bin. This sewing kit was from the Phnom Penn Hotel which I visited in 2006. We stayed there one night when I did a 10 day, 500K charity challenge in aid of the charity “Whizzkids” , starting in Vietnam and then going up the Mekong in a boat to Phnom Penn and after to Angkor Wat. It was a very enjoyable trip with only 10 people and two guides. One of the men was Mark Butcher a cricketer who played for Surrey and England. Most of the time we stayed in fairly basic hotels but this one is still there( just looked it up) and was more luxurious. However it is still only about £50 per night so I’m guessing the exchange rate was favourable then too.
I also found the photo album for the trip and the trip notes too which was nice to read and look through the photos too. I will keep the sewing kit!
I will continue with sorting a bit each day..
